Transaction sizes

How big PRL transactions are, as a whole distribution rather than one average: the median transaction, the percentiles either side of it, and how much of everything moved goes in the largest few. A single transfer can drag a mean anywhere, so the median and the share carried by the top 1% are the numbers to read whales by. Walked from our own full node; the coinbase is issuance and is left out.

How many transactions are each size

Transactions per size band. On the log scale each band is a quarter of a decade wide, so the shape of the whole range is visible at once; on the linear scale the bands run evenly from zero to the 99th percentile and everything larger shares the last bar.

Where the value moves

The same bands, measured by the value they carry instead of by count. Where this chart's mass sits far to the right of the one above, a few large transfers move most of the coins.

Transaction size over time

Each day's 10th, 50th, 90th and 99th percentile, and its mean. A mean running above the 90th percentile is one or two transfers on that day dwarfing everything else.

Percentiles

By count: the size below which that share of transactions falls. By value: the size below which that share of all value moved falls — the by-value median is the size above which half of everything moved was moved.

Whales

How many transactions reach each size, and how much of the value they carry.

Largest transactions

The biggest single transfers in the range.
